Treatment and Prevention to Promote Resilience in Children, Youth and Families
Welcome to the Child Resilience Center. Our center is dedicated to providing evidence-based treatment and prevention programs that focus on improving the lives of children, families and communities. Drawing on research and clinical expertise of our team, we provide services that are trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and strengths-based.
Fostering resilience in youth
Resilience is known as the ability to bounce back after challenges. At the CRC we believe that resilience is made up of youth’s unique characteristics, as well as supportive environments that provide opportunities for youth to tap into their strengths and resources to overcome challenges.
Supporting families in learning to thrive
Family support, open and trusting communication, and the presence of a caring adult are some of many family characteristics that support resilience in children and youth. The CRC is dedicated to working with parents, parent-child dyads, siblings, the entire family and community to support families in learning how to thrive.
